An Officer and a Midget Porn Star
The more I read on with this, it’s seems like he must really be a big fan. Then again, he could just be an asshole. You know, you always have a guy or girl in the workplace that does fucked up stuff and comes back and tells everyone like it was okay. Like, “hey guys I just got back from a 3 hour lunch. I got really drunk at this bar and still had enough time to fuck a hooker. Man, my head is pounding!” Then when he’s getting written up or fired later in the day, he doesn’t know what the big deal is.
The Stoughton police chief says a decorated patrolman installed a laser sight on his service weapon against department policy, 
deserted his patrol to meet a woman billed as “the world’s smallest porn star,” then lied about it all in an internal investigation prompted by his peers.
Officer Richard P. Bennett, who just last month received a commendation for his work in a March murder case, has resigned rather than face disciplinary action, Police Chief Paul Shastany said.
“Momma told me there would be days like this,” Shastany said. “We are not red-faced. In fact, I am pretty proud (other officers) stepped up.”
Bennett, 28, of Fall River, submitted his one-paragraph resignation letter to Town Manager Francis T. Crimmins on June 30. His resignation came 10 days after he made an on-duty, in-uniform visit during a graveyard shift to Club Alex’s Gentlemen’s Club, where 3-foot-9-inch adult-film star Bridget “The Midget” Powers was making a guest appearance.
“He was insubordinate and left his section and drove over to Alex’s,” Shastany said.
Bennett did not radio other officers to alert them he was headed to the club, Shastany said; the department has a strict policy requiring officers to alert dispatch and team up with a partner any time they respond to the strip club.
Shastany said at least five officers alerted the administration of Bennett’s trip to the club.
”The culture is such in the organization that people want to do the right thing,” Shastany said. “There are officers here that came forward. There were many officers, just so you know, that felt that this was inappropriate.
“This is an example of what works well when officers hold themselves accountable,” he said
…..“He lied during the course of the investigation. He made some statements, some fabrications during the course of the investigation, and the chief made it clear from day one, if anyone was untruthful, he wants their job.”
Other Officers Outraged Over Photo Taken With Bridget
It’s just a question…but I wonder if there would have been as much outrage if it were a different porn star, say one that’s not a midget? Or were the other officers just hating that they weren’t involved? Just a question.
As I said at first, this guy could just be a asshole and the other officers weren’t having it. This dumb ass actually left his beat. You know the saying there’s never a cop around when you need one? It’s because he’s at the strip club taking photos with dwarf porn stars!!!

A Stoughton patrolman, already in trouble for lying about an unauthorized alteration to his service weapon, outraged his colleagues when he showed them a photograph of himself, in uniform, abandoning his patrol to pose with a dwarf porn star outside a local strip club, Police Chief Paul Shastany said.
Patrolman Richard Bennett showed several colleagues a picture of his June 20 meeting with Bridget “The Midget” Powers, a 3-foot-9 adult-film star with dwarfism who was performing during a special engagement at Club Alex’s. Those officers then reported the matter to their superiors, who were already investigating Bennett for having a laser sight installed on his service weapon without the chief’s permission.
“They were upset at him and it was reported promptly,” Shastany said of Bennett’s encounter with the porn star. “They felt there was sufficient misconduct to be reported because it was an affront to their sensibilities.”
